UIN Online - Rector of UIN Alauddin Makassar, Prof. Dr. H.A. Qadir Gassing HT, MS., described the condition of UIN Alauddin in the past, present and future, especially what related to the vision and mission that carried UIN Alauddin to be a civilization campus. It was delivered during the opening of the public lecture at Campus II, Samata on Tuesday, March 4, 2014.

The public lecture entitled "the strategy of State financial management and environment utilization in strengthening national values towards the realization of righteous, prosperous, and dignified Indonesia", was presented by the Deputy Chief of BPK, Dr. Ali Masykur Musa, M.Si., M.Hum., that begun by clarifying the position of the civilized state, as initiated by the Prophet. He further explained that we could build science and civilization through sciences, and the light of civilization would appear from the UIN Alauddin Makassar, his statement then was followed by round applause from the participants who were generally from the students.

In addition to his statement, Dr. Ali also supported UIN Alauddin in accelerating the establishment of medical faculty by connecting and communicating with the Ministry of Religious Affairs and the Ministry of Educational and Cultural Affairs, he said.

The event was held on the fourth floor of rektorat building of UIN Alauddin, and was attended by professors, the deans of faculties, the lecturers, and the students of UIN Alauddin as well as the group of Central BPK and the Head Representative of BPK Sul - Sel.
