UIN Online - Three lecturers of UIN Alauddin Makassar incorporated in lecturer forum attended lecturer and communication student forum discussion of Makassar in Tribun Timur daily office, Monday (02/24/2013).

Those three lecturers are the professor of UIN Alauddin, Prof. Dr. Qasim Mattar, Head of Journalism Department of Dakwah and Communication Faculty (FDK), Dr. Firdaus Muhammad, and Lecturer of UIN Alauddin, Dr. Sabri Ar.

The lecturer forum attended by lecturers and students from State University of Makassar (UNM), Muhammadiyah University of Makassar (Unismuh), Pancasakti University, Indonesian Muslim University (UMI), and Hasanuddin University of Makassar (UNHAS) was held to discuss about "why the presidential and vice presidential candidates targeted South Sulawesi and chaotic of General Election Commission (KPU) Sul - Sel".

In this discussion, Firdaus said that in facing the political situation, the academics should give new nuances. "Students still have to be the agent of change" he said.
